Social Media Marketing Case Study

The Brief:

Firle Vintage Fair approached Blackcorn seeking professional social media management and content creation services. They have three social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Their aim of being more active on their social media platforms to increase ticket sales and awareness of their vintage festival in West Sussex on the 9th, 10th and 11th of August 2019. The client chose our Bronze social media package.

The Strategy:

Our strategy for Firle Vintage Fair was to increase their amount of posts per week to a minimum of 4 posts per week, with more posts implemented leading up to the event. Being a more present and active social media presense has created a bigger buzz for the event this year; when compared to previous years. Social media posts include updates of events, music & dance performances, authors and speakers at The Speaker’s Pavillion, the vintage car shows, vintage fashion topics, and upcoming workshops available for both children and adults.

We ran two competitions in July to build more engagement with existing and new followers. The first competition partnered with BBC Sussex was to win 4 VIP passes, 4 Harveys Vintage Beers, Four Original Vintage Rides, and one event program. To enter the competition followers had to follow all three social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, like and share the social post. The campaign on Facebook reached over 11,136 people, with 615 likes, comments and shares, with 376 post clicks that linked to Firle Vintage Fair’s ticket page. This Facebook competitition campaign had a £5.00 budget.

The second competition was strictly for Facebook and the prize was to win two glasses of PIMMS. The Facebook campaign reached 10,278 people with 369 likes, comments and shares, with 131 post clicks that linked to Firle Vintage Fair’s homepage. This Facebook competition campaign had a £100 budget set by the client.

The Results:

The directors of Firle Vintage Fair Dan and Katrina are very happy with the social media services Blackcorn has provided and continue to do. Since starting the client has requested live social media services of their weekend event.
